Do you suffer from anxiety when using Zoom or other conference calling systems?
Hi, Matt here,
I am in the process of designing a Zoom meeting based group for people who suffer from conference call anxiety. Zoom anxiety seems to be a big topic on Google and in forums at the moment, especially as conference calls are used more and more due to social distancing.
Whether you use Zoom or other conferencing services for business of simply staying in touch with friends and loved ones you may find it anxiety-provoking.
Often it is simply a case of spending time in the zoom environment with other like-minded people and then branching out, becoming involved with more challenging groups at your own pace.
The groups I am considering facilitating would aim to cater for people with different levels of concern. They would be group-led with minimal facilitation. The idea would be that you come into the group and contribute what you feel comfortable with, if at all at first. That could be simply sharing a little about yourself or offering supportive feedback to others and building upon this basic beginning.
If more input from me were likely to be helpful, I would develop this as the need arose.
Please do contact me via the contact form if you think that this may be helpful to you or if you would like to contribute your ideas about how such a group may be helpful. You can also add your email address above to receive updates when I add new posts and pages.
There would be no charge from me for providing this service to anyone who takes part in the early stages of development.
I look forward to hearing from you and working with you to make Zoom meeting anxiety a thing of the past.
